<p>A mounting assembly for a vehicle exhaust system component, such as a diesel particulate filter, comprises a mounting plate with means for securing the component thereto, and at least one exhaust gas guidance part having a first opening shaped to cooperate with an inlet or outlet of the component and a second opening connectable to an exhaust gas duct. The guidance part or mounting plate has an external projection which is received in a corresponding opening in the mounting plate or guidance part when the two are assembled to prevent rotation and lateral movement of the guidance parts relative to the mounting plate. In one embodiment, the external projection is a sensor such as a temperature sensor.</p> |
