Disclosed is a washing machine having a motor with an improved structure to prevent water from penetrating into the motor. The washing machine comprises a body; a tub inside the body; a drum inside the tub to be rotated; a stator joined to the rear side of the tub; and the motor having a rotor inside the stator to be rotated. The stator comprises a stator core; first and second insulators to cover both ends of the stator core; and one or more water penetration prevention members between the first and second insulators to prevent water from penetrating into the stator core.
