PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a bipolar secondary battery that can make a position shift error on a plane which is caused when a stack configuration component is stacked as small as possible.SOLUTION: At least one of a first seal material stuck on a positive electrode side of a bipolar electrode and a second seal material stuck on a negative electrode side has a positioning hole and the bipolar electrode has a positioning hole at the position where the seal material is stuck. The seal material and the bipolar electrode are stacked one over the other with their positioning holes aligned with one another. When a plurality of bipolar electrodes are stacked, the plurality of bipolar electrodes are stacked with positioning holes aligned with each other. In this case, second and succeeding bipolar electrodes are stacked always based upon the positioning hole of a first bipolar electrode which is stacked first.
