PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily taking out a catalyst from a reactor filled with the catalyst.SOLUTION: A gas injection device 10 for taking out a catalyst is used which comprises: a rotary cylinder part 21 which has an injection port for injecting gas downward and is mounted to a fixing part so as to be vertically movable and rotatable around a central axis of the rotary cylinder part 21; the fixing part for fixing the rotary cylinder part 21 to the upper part of a reactor 1; and inert gas supply means which is mounted to the top of the rotary cylinder part 21.
