PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run flat tire configured to achieve a balance between ride comfort and durability at a high level and keep a weight increase to the minimum.SOLUTION: A minimum thickness part 16 is set between an end of a belt layer 9 and a position corresponding to 70% of a cross section height SH. The relationship between a thickness Gof the minimum thickness part 16 and a thickness Gof a maximum thickness part 17 is set to satisfy 0.5×G≤G≤0.8×G. The relationship between a length Lof a thin wall area 18 and the height SH of a tire cross section is set to satisfy 0.18×SH≤L≤0.26×SH. The relationship among a weight Wr of a side reinforcing layer 12, a tire gross weight Wt and a tire aspect ratio R is set to satisfy 0.08×Wt×(1-0.2×(1-R/50))≤Wr≤0.18×Wt×(1-0.2×(1-R/50)). In a rim check line position, the relationship between a thickness Ga on the outer side of a carcass layer 4 and a maximum thickness Gb is set to satisfy 0.8×Gb≤Ga≤1.0×Gb, and the relationship between an inside thickness Gc and an outside thickness Ga is set to satisfy 0.7×Ga≤Gc≤1.0×Ga. |
