Disclosed are a CoMP communication method, a base station and a user equipment. The method includes: a user equipment (UE) receiving a switching message sent by a source base station, the switching message including at least one coordinated multi-point (CoMP) measurement set of a target cell, and each CoMP measurement set including configuration information about at least one coordinated transmission point; and the UE switching from a source cell to the target cell according to the switching message. In this way, the above method configures a CoMP measurement set for an uplink coordinated transmission point, and when a UE performs switching, whether to omit a random access process can be determined according to the CoMP measurement set, thereby reducing the switching time delay of the UE during the switching process and the user service interruption time delay.
