PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device configured to reduce cleaning time and extend the service life of a cleaning member, and to provide an image forming device.SOLUTION: A charging device includes: a discharging electrode 52 stretched in a main scanning direction substantially orthogonal to a moving direction of an image carrier, to charge the image carrier; a cleaning member 57 which moves in the main scanning direction to clean the surface of the discharging electrode; and a cleaning control part which specifies at least one of regions formed by dividing the discharging electrode and arranged along the main scanning direction, as a cleaning region, to cause the cleaning member to clean the specified region. |
