PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having cloth amount detection means capable of detecting a cloth amount with good accuracy.SOLUTION: Based on a difference between a current value Iq1' in acceleration in a section where a drum 3 rotates integral times of at least one rotation or more in a predetermined acceleration section in which angular acceleration α1 in acceleration of the drum 3 is constant, and a current value Iq2' in deceleration in a section where the drum 3 rotates integral times of at least one rotation or more in a predetermined deceleration section in which angular acceleration α2 in deceleration of the drum 3 is constant, cloth amount detection means is provided for detecting a cloth amount. Thereby, vertical fluctuation of the current value caused by a deviated state of clothes and the like is offset. Before a first detection step, a section in which the drum 3 rotates in low-speed is provided and an unbalanced state of a fluid balancer 15 is eliminated, so that a start of the cloth amount detection step can be performed smoothly, and the variation of a cloth amount determination value can be suppressed and a cloth amount can be detected with good accuracy. |
