PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination of a thermal transfer sheet and a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet, and an image forming method, by which occurrence of JAM (jamming) in an initial operation stage of a printer can be prevented and a printed material with high glossiness and high quality can be obtained.SOLUTION: The combination comprises: a thermal transfer sheet 10 having a dye layer 3 disposed on one surface of a substrate 1 and a back surface layer 5 disposed on the other surface of the substrate; and a thermal transfer image-receiving sheet having a dye-receiving layer disposed on one surface of another substrate. The dye layer of the thermal transfer sheet contains a dye and a binder resin; the binder resin contains nitrocellulose; and the dye layer contains nitrocellulose within the range of 20 mass% or more and 100 mass% or less with respect to the total solid content of the binder resin. The dye-receiving layer of the thermal transfer image-receiving sheet is a water-based dye-receiving layer. |
