PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splicingless tape feeder capable of stably setting a following carrier tape even when the thickness of a preceding tape and the thickness of a following tape are not the same.SOLUTION: The tape feeder is arranged including: a second tape feeding mechanism 20B that feeds a carrier tape 14 introduced from a tape introduction port 5d to the downstream by a sprocket 21B; and a first pressing member 30 that allows sprocket 21B to idly rotate only in a first rotation direction corresponding to a tape feeding direction and presses the carrier tape 14 to engage the same to the sprocket 21B. In a state that the preceding tape 14(1) is engaged with the sprocket 21B and the following tape 14(2) is inserted, the second tape feeding mechanism 20B comes into contact with the front end of the following tape 14(2) to stop the tape from entering. After the preceding tape 14(1) passes through a tape stopper 35a, the second tape feeding mechanism 20B switches from a tape entering prohibition position to a tape entering permission position. |
