An optical device (13) comprising a first surface (25) with a plurality of micro sized facets (15), each facet having a respective orientation. Said plurality of facets having an optical axis (17) which extends parallel to the normal vector to an average orientation of all said respective orientations. The plurality of facets comprising at least a first and a second group of facets, each group is formed by a respective number of compactly arranged, neighboring facets. Furthermore each group has a respective group optical axis which extends parallel to a respective normal vector to an average group orientation of all orientations of said neighboring facets. For at least one combination of a respective first group optical axis of the first group of facets with a respective second group optical axis of the second group of facets, said first group optical axis and said second group optical axis are mutually angled by an angle ß of at least 5°.
