PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of achieving low-temperature fixing in high-speed printing and formation of a high-definition image by optimizing a softening point and a content of a crystalline polyester and a grain size distribution of a toner.SOLUTION: A toner produced by melting and kneading a toner composition comprising a binder resin, a colorant and wax, then pulverizing and classifying the composition is used to achieve low-temperature fixing in high-speed printing. The binder resin comprises an amorphous polyester resin and a crystalline polyester resin. The crystalline polyester resin has a softening point in the range from 85 to 120°C, and is included by 5 to 30 wt.% with respect to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin. The toner has a volume median particle diameter (D50) of 5.5 to 7.5 μm and such a particle size distribution that content percentages of toner particles having particle diameters of 3 μm or less, 4 μm or less, and 5 μm or less, respectively, are predetermined percentages or less on a number basis. |
