The present invention provides a cutting insert to be used in a rotary cutting tool with a replaceable tool edge. The cutting insert is provided with: first cutting edges formed at the intersection ridge between a first of two opposite end faces and a circumferential side surface; and first depressions that are formed along portions of the first cutting edges. The first depressions are provided so as to give the first cutting edge a larger rake angle than the portions of the first cutting edge that do not have the first depression. |
