<p> The present disclosure relates to an image processing device and method that enable the reduction of the coding amount of non base view slice headers. In a slice header, if the Dependent slice flag is 1, the portion lower than the Dependent slice flag and higher than the Entry point is shared between dependent slices. Within the portion being shared between dependent slices, for the Long-term index, Reference picture modification, and Weighted prediction, the values for an inter-view prediction image are disposed together in a separate region to the slice header.
