PURPOSE: A composition containing a Dangkwisoo-san (DGSS) extract for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases is provided to prevent and treat inflammatory lung diseases by prescribing the composition containing an extract of nine kinds of crude drugs. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains an extract of nine kinds of crude drugs including Angelica gigas, Paeoniae radix, Linderae radix, Caesalpiniae lignum, Cyperi rhizoma, Carthami flos, Persicae semen, Cinnamomi cortex, and Glycyrrhizae radix. The crude drug complex contains 18-19 wt% of Angelica gigas, 10-12 wt% of Paeoniae radix, 10-12 wt% of Linderae radix, 10-12 wt% of Caesalpiniae lignum, 10-12 wt% of Cyperi rhizome, 9-10 wt% of Carthami flos, 7-8 wt% of Persicae semen, 6-8 wt% of Cinnamomi cortex, and 5-7 wt% of Glycyrrhizae radix.
