The transfer case (1) has planetary gear (2) that is connected to a differential gear (3) in torque-transmitting manner. The differential gear is axially arranged relative to the planet carrier (7) which is provided adjacently to a gear wheel (19) of the planetary gear. The gear wheel is installed with respect to a thickness adjustable co-ordination plate. An axial rolling bearing unit (18) is supported to a differential transmission-side axial end (13) of the planet carrier.
