PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow deterioration of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane to be suppressed as much as possible by preventing elution of metal ions from a metal separator, with a simple and economical configuration.SOLUTION: In a fuel cell 10, an electrolyte membrane/electrode structure 12 is held between a first metal separator 14 and a second metal separator 16. The second metal separator 16 includes a metal plate 40 and a resin frame member 42 integrally molded on the outer periphery of the metal plate 40. The second metal separator 16 is provided with an oxidant gas passage 44, and the oxidant gas passage 44 has an end oxidant gas passage groove 44ae facing an outer peripheral end 20be of a cathode electrode catalyst layer 20b. The end oxidant gas passage groove 44ae is provided in the resin frame member 42. |
