PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for temporarily supporting a foundation, which enables inexpensive base isolation of an existing building while securing stability of the ground.SOLUTION: A method for temporarily supporting a foundation is used to temporarily support the foundation 3 of an existing building 1 when the existing building 1 is base-isolated. More specifically, the method for temporarily supporting the foundation includes a step S1 of forming an excavation space 21a narrowed downward, by excavating ground 6 positioned below a section between columns 5 of the existing building 1, and steps S-2-S4 of temporarily supporting the foundation 3 by providing timbering 30 assuming a shape expanded upward, in the excavation space 21a. |
