PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a transmission unit, capable of suppressing increased communication traffic with avoidance of interference between superposed mutual signals.SOLUTION: One of a transmission unit 1 and a plurality of superposed terminals 2 connected to a communication line 10 has a master right to function as a master node that directly communicates with a superposed terminal 2 using a superposed signal. Normally the master right is granted to the transmission unit 1. The transmission unit 1 acquires data from one superposed terminal 2 out of the plurality of supposed terminals 2 using a superposed signal, so as to transmit the data to another superposed terminal 2 using a superposed signal. As a response to a master request from one superposed terminal 2 out of the plurality of supposed terminals 2, the transmission unit 1 tentatively transfers the master right to the superposed terminal 2. When the master right is transferred, the superposed terminal 2, functioning as a master node, performs direct communication with another superposed terminal 2 using a superposed signal. |
