PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drying unevenness and drying wrinkles of clothes to improve the finish of the clothes.SOLUTION: The clothes dryer includes: a drum drive motor 3 for driving a rotary drum 2; a first infrared ray sensor 8 for detecting clothes in an upper space 2b in the rotary drum 2; a second infrared ray sensor 9 for detecting clothes in a lower space 2c in the rotary drum 2; control means 10 for controlling the drum drive motor 3 by computing output signals of the first infrared ray sensor 8 and the second infrared ray sensor 9. The control means 10 controls the rotation of the rotary drum 2 in such a manner that detection frequencies per unit time of the first infrared ray sensor 8 and the second infrared ray sensor 9 to detect clothes in the rotary drum 2 become equal and make clothes spread in the rotary drum 2. |
