PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article of footwear in which an unnecessarily active static friction adjusting device is corrected, since one disadvantage of the latest technology of the static friction adjusting device for footwear is that it is excessively active.SOLUTION: This is an outer sole 2 for an article of footwear, and is provided with at least one projection having a part that is configured to support the article of footwear against the ground. A static friction increasing element 6 is connected to the projection and is capable of selectively being inserted between the part and the ground. The static friction increasing element is attached at least to a part of the projection and is designed to be bent between a first and a second position, so that the static friction increasing element in the second position presents between the part and the ground. A movement of the static friction increasing element between the first and the second position is brought by the movement of the article of footwear almost along the ground. |
