PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce that balance of circulation of a developer is disrupted and the developer overflows from a developing device even if difference is caused in stop duration by difference between the inertia force of a developer carrier and that of a conveyance member.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a developing chamber 3, a stirring chamber 4, a first conveyance screw 5 provided in the developing chamber 3 and conveying the developer to the stirring chamber 4, a second conveyance screw 6 provided in the stirring chamber 4 and conveying the developer to the developing chamber 3, a developing sleeve 8 carrying the developer supplied from the developing chamber 3 and conveying the developer to the stirring chamber 4 via a development position facing a photoreceptive drum 10, and a controller 30 capable of executing a mode for performing control so that the output timing of a stop signal for stopping driving input to the second conveyance screw 6 is after the output timing of the stop signal for stopping the driving input to the developing sleeve 8 and before the rotation of the developing sleeve 8 is actually stopped from when the driving input of the developing sleeve 8 is stopped. |
