PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data management method and a data management server device for enabling a user to select security during performing backup.SOLUTION: A data management server device 1 distributes each data storage device 2 to one among three classes of "high", "intermediate", and "low" on the basis of security to a failure. An information processor 3 selects one class from among the three classes of the "high", "intermediate", and "low", and selects data for storage from data stored in the information processor 3. When the information processor 3 transmits the selected one class and the selected data for storage, the data management server device 1 transmits the received data for storage to the data storage device 2 belonging to the selected one class. When the data storage device 2 receives the data for storage from the data management server device, the data storage device stores at least a portion of the received data for storage. |
