The present disclosure relates to a reception apparatus, a reception method, a broadcast apparatus, a broadcast method, a program and an interlock application control system for allowing the reception apparatus control function of an interlock application to be controlled from a broadcast side. According to an interlock application control system that is a third aspect of the present disclosure, a broadcast apparatus comprises a supply unit that supplies a reception apparatus with application control information related to an interlock application that can be executed upon reception of contents in the reception apparatus, while the reception apparatus comprises: an application executing unit that executes the interlock application that can change the display layout with reference to the images of the received contents; and an application control unit that controls, on the basis of the application control information, the application executing unit, thereby limiting the operation of the interlock application. The present disclosure can be applied to television broadcast systems. |
