The method involves providing a molded flat conductor with electrically conductive layers (2) and electrically insulating layer (3) which is arranged between electrically conductive layers. The flat conductor is inserted and positioned in a casting tool (100) using one or more spacers (52,53), to ensure the recasting of the flat conductor having a minimum wall thickness produced by the recasting shell (20).
