PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine, in an image forming apparatus having a plurality of cartridges, a proper replacement time of each of the cartridges.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a first cartridge for storing a developer of a first color; a second cartridge for storing a developer of a second color; and a control device for notifying a user of replacement of the first cartridge and the second cartridge. The control device notifies the user of the replacement of the first cartridge by using information based on the usage of the developer (S5) and information based on the number of prints (S9), and notifies the user of the replacement of the second cartridge by using at least the information based on the usage of the developer without using the information based on the number of prints. |
