PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of simply removing a leading end of a material web which is not printed in the case of adjusting a printer or changing an outfit.SOLUTION: A method for adjusting and/or operating a web press includes taking up a printed material web on a roll 18, first printing a partial section of the material web 3, subsequently reeling off a part not printed and located frontward of the partial section of the material web 3 from the roll and removing the part, and subsequently fixing the cut leading end of the printed material web to the take-up roll. The material web is first returned and transported for separating the part not printed, subsequently driving devices M1, M3 for the material web are switched to a hold mode, and in the hold mode, the material web is stopped while keeping the web tension, pulled toward the take-up roll with small tension force with the web leading end ahead and fixed there. |
