PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved thermal energy storage material, a thermal energy storage device and a system employing the same, and a related method.SOLUTION: A thermal energy storage device 80 has an outer wall 81, and includes a container defining a housing 83, the housing can form a cavity 84 having an internal volume, and the housing has at least one opening, for example, an inlet 91, an outlet 92 or both of them. A heat transfer fluid 97 is circulated through the housing, and can enter the housing through the inlet 91 and come out through the outlet 92. The device has means for insulating the housing from heat (heat insulating layer 82 or vacuum cavity at least partially surrounding housing 83), and the heat insulating material 82 has a function to lower a speed of heat loss from the heat storage device. The cavity 84 of the housing may include a blister package 25 including a thermal energy storage material. |
