The element has a front-side light permeable decoration layer (10) i.e. natural stone layer, a translucent disk (20) and a base plate (50) approximately flushingly arranged at each other, and commonly projecting above a light guide plate (30) in a peripheral region (A). A light source (40) and a distance holding device (60) are provided in the peripheral region for supporting the disk against the base plate. A casting material (66) is inserted in the peripheral region on an edge side between the disk and the base plate and approximately flushingly at an edge of an entire plate element. The translucent disk is a single-disk safety glass disk. The casting material is silicone material.
