This cooling device (1) for a vehicle is provided with: a radiator (3); radiator outlet-side piping (19) which has one end connected to the cooling water outlet section (29) of the radiator (3) and the other end connected to a water pump (5) and which conducts cooling water (W) from the radiator (3) to the water pump (5); a branch pipe (23) which is branched from the intermediate section (21) of the radiator outlet-side piping (19) and which extends upward; and a cooling water reserve tank (25) which is connected to the branch pipe (23) and which always communicates with the radiator outlet-side piping (19) through the branch pipe (23).
