The device (1) has a retainer (4) for retaining punched out scrapers (2). An upper opening (11) and a lower opening are formed in a top face (9) and a bottom side (10) of the retainer, respectively, where the lower opening is aligned with the upper opening. The retainer comprises a side opening (8) for insertion of the punched out scrapers. The lower opening is greater than a maximum radial expansion of a stamper (3). A pressing device (7) acts on the stamper and presses the stamper from the punched out scrapers. The pressing device is guided through the upper and lower openings. An independent claim is also included for a method for removing punched out scrapers from a stamper.
