1,100,996. High-pressure gas inlet valve device for a respiratory apparatus. O. H. DRAGER, [trading as DRAGERWERK, HEINR. & BERNH. DRAGER], 16 June 1966 [16 June, 1965], No. 27041/66. Heading AST. A high-pressure gas inlet valve device for a respiratory apparatus is illustrated with reference to the drawing and comprises a pressure-reducing valve C which serves to reduce the pressure of high-pressure gas to a low pressure, a lung-controlled valve B located downstream of said valve C and serving to reduce the pressure of the gas from said lowpressure to respiratory pressure, and a valve housing A common to both valves. The device illustrated by the drawing is connectable at the upper end by a union nut 1 to a shut-off valve of a high-pressure nutrient gas bottle, and at the lower end the device is connected to a breathing bag 25. The nutrient gas flows through bore 3 into inlet chamber 4 and past closure member 5 into the outlet chamber 13 of valve C where expansion and pressure reduction occur. The low-pressure gas flows through bore 15 into antechamber 16 of the valve B. Operation of the rocking arm 19 allows gas at respiratory pressure to flow into bag 25. |
