Hollow needle for a sample pipettor

The hollow needle (1) has a straight cylindrical basic shape with a tip (8) to pierce a sealing device. A main portion of the needle is provided with faces (22,26,28,30) in the region of the tip, such that radial force components performs at the respective faces during an axial movement into an elastic material to cancel radial forces. An independent claim is included for a method for producing hollow needle for piercing sealing device of sample vessel.
