An insert 1 for a sewage entry point 3 comprises a rigid cistern or basin comprising an outer section 6, an inner section 7 and a base section 8. The inner section has a splayed funnel shape wherein the neck of the funnel extends into a bowl shaped container 10 on the base of the basin/cistern. The splayed portion of the funnel shaped inner section extends upwardly and outwardly toward the outer edges of the outer section. The insert comprises an opening between the inner and outer sections of the cistern or basin. The insert may be connected to a mains water supply (30 figure 8) to fill a reservoir formed between the inner and outer sections and may also have a ball cock type mechanism (31 figure 8) to control water into the reservoir. A later embodiment relates to a method of disposing domestic pet waste in a sewage collection system. |
