An adjustable vehicle positioning system for freight containers (ref 15, fig 1a) includes vertical supports 1, 2 which are removably attachable to the interior side walls of the freight container. Wheel or axle supports 4, 5 are connected together by an adjustable spin bar 6, which is adjustable so as to accommodate vehicles of different wheel bases (see figs 2). Manual or electrical hoists (ref 8, 11, fig 1a) are provided for raising the wheel or axle supports 4, 5, and the attached vehicle, on the vertical supports 1, 2. The hoists (8, 11) may be chain hoists or may use a wire. In further embodiments hydraulic or pneumatic actuators may be used to raise the wheel or axle supports. |
