PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a rice hull molded article having a sufficient strength with a small amount of adhesives. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a rice hull molded article includes the filling step of filling a mold container with powders mainly containing rice hulls to form a molded article, and the solidifying step of solidifying the molded article. In the solidifying step, a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin aqueous solution is fed into the mold container filled with the molded article, the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin aqueous solution is contained in the molded article, and the molded article containing the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin aqueous solution is frozen, then thawed and dried.
