PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement of the beauty and strength of a rocking chair whose backrest includes a back frame covered with a support sheet. SOLUTION: The backrest 5 includes a back frame 13 and a support sheet 14. The back frame 13 includes right and left side members 16, an upper member 17 and a lower member 18. The side members 16 of the back frame 13 are fastened to a rocking frame 8. The side members 16 are put on the rocking frame 8 from the outside right and left. The lower member 18 is put on a joint frame 12 from the front side. The outer surfaces of a back strut 10 and the side members 16 are smoothly continued.
