<p>A heat-dissipating brake lining contains a base 10, preferably made of aluminium alloy, and a braking pad 20. The base 10 includes an accommodating groove 11, an elongated slot 12, an orifice 13 arranged in the elongated slot 12 and passing through the base 10, a heat insulation layer 14 fixed on a lower end of a second surface thereof, preferably by attachment or coating, and a plurality of heat dissipation portions 15, preferably shaped as columns or sheets, extending from an upper end of the second surface thereof. The braking pad 20 is mounted on a holding plate 21, and the holding plate 21 has an extending section 22 and a through hole 23 defined in the extending section 22, wherein the holding plate 21 is accommodated in the accommodating groove 11 of the base 10, and the extending section 22 is secured in the elongated slot 12 so that the through hole 23 aligns and communicates with the orifice 13. This allows replacement of the brake pad 20 without replacing the base 10 and associated heat-dissipating portions 15 and insulating layer 14.</p> |
