PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head capable of maintaining desired discharge performance and suppressing negative impact on the discharge performance caused by bubble infiltration into a pressure chamber. SOLUTION: An ink supply passage includes at least a first flow passage part 32, a second flow passage part 42, and a third flow passage part 43 sequentially from the side near a common flow passage 22 along the inc supply direction. The first flow passage part 32 is a vertical flow passage for flowing the ink supplied from the common flow passage 22 upward into the second flow passage part 42. The third flow passage part 43 is a horizontal flow passage for horizontally flowing the ink in the second flow passage part 42 out of the second flow passage part 42. When A1 denotes a cross area of the first flow passage part 32, and A2a denotes a cross area of the second flow passage part 42, A2a is larger than A1.
