PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that properly carries out both screen processing and edge smoothing processing to image data. SOLUTION: An attribute classification part 21 and a smoothing processing part 22 detect an edge smoothing portion, which is a target for smoothing, in image data, and carry out image smoothing processing to pixels in the vicinity of the edge smoothing portion. Meanwhile, an edge trimming and screen processing part 31 carries out edge trimming and screen processing regarding pixels, which have been determined to be a half tone in the image smoothing processing, as a background.
