PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work machine capable of securing the safety of work even when a rotation transmission mechanism connecting an angle detector and a rotary member is broken. SOLUTION: A torsion spring 16 is mounted around a rotary shaft 12 configuring a angle detector 10, and both ends of the torsion spring 16 are engaged with an engaging projection 17 formed on a bracket 11 and the left side of a lever 13, respectively. When a part more at the distal end than a rod 14, the connection part of the rod 14 and the lever 13 and the part where the torsion spring 16 of the lever 13 is engaged is broken by the collision of sediment or the like, the rotary shaft 12 is automatically rotated to a movable end at the right by the elastic force of the torsion spring 16 and outputs a voltage signal corresponding to it. Thus, an alarm is issued from reporting means 20, and an operator immediately recognizes the occurrence of abnormality. A tension spring can be also used instead of the torsion spring 16.
