PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating apparatus which can easily discharge moisture generated inside a case part caused by condensation, or dust collected on an electrode part in the case part into the outside in a simple structure at low cost. SOLUTION: The ion generating apparatus 100 includes electrode parts 101a, 101b having a discharge electrode 2 and a counter electrode as an induction electrode, and the case part 102 for storing the electrode part 101 in the case part. Water generated with condensation and collected in the case part 102, or dust piled up by being conveyed inside the case part 102 is discharged together when a part of air F flowing in the vicinity of the ion generating apparatus 100 enters the case part 102 and it is discharged from exhaust holes 45, 45 formed on the case part 102. Therefore, the ion generating apparatus 100 can return at a normal ion generation state in early period even though the ion generating apparatus 100 stops by being caused by condensation and dust.
