Biological water purifying apparatus and method

Polluted water in natural and artificial environments is purified by water cultures of higher aquatic plants which are suspended in the water by threads, nets, boxes or like means. The plants are arranged to minimize contact with sludge and the holding means are arranged so that there is a flow of water to prevent sludge building up at the bottom and covering the roots.
