BATTERY PACK AND MOBILE TERMINAL HAVING THE SAME

Provided are a battery pack and a mobile terminal having the same. The battery pack includes a first battery cell, a second battery cell, and a protection circuit module (PCM). The first battery cell is mounted in a battery groove. The second battery cell includes an overlapped part which is stacked and overlapped with at least a part of the first battery cell in a thickness direction; and an extended part which is extended from the overlapped part in the width direction of the first battery cell. The PCM has connection terminals electrically connected to the electrodes of the first and second battery cells to prevent the overcharge and overdischarge of the cells.
