PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium restrained in faulty displaying due to contact occurring between an adhesive constituting an adhesive section and particle dispersion liquid constituting a display unit when displaying is driven. SOLUTION: A display medium 101 comprises a display unit 20; a display unit wall part 32 disposed continuously along the circumference of the display unit 20, between a surface electrode 13 and a back substrate 11; an adhesive section 31 disposed continuously along the edges of the surface electrode 13 and the back substrate 11, between the surface electrode 13 and the back substrate 11; an adhesive section wall part 33 disposed continuously along the inside of the adhesive section 31, between the surface electrode 13 and the back substrate 11; and a plurality of first columnar sections 34 disposed along the display unit wall part 32 and the adhesive section wall part 33 between the display unit wall part 32 and the adhesive section wall part 33 and at intervals, between the surface electrode 13 and the back substrate 11.
