<p>A motor for a washing machine or the like, wherein the motor (102) includes a motor support (130) with a ring-receiving opening (132), said motor (102) comprising: a rotor (104); a stator; a mounting ring (122) configured to be secured in the ring-receiving opening (132) of the motor support (130), said mounting ring (122) including a resiliently deformable portion (124) configured to dampen relative motion between the motor (102) and the machine (100), said mounting ring (122) including a locking surface (160); and a motor frame (108) operably supporting the rotor (104) and stator, said motor frame (108) being interconnected with the mounting ring (122) and thereby supported on the motor support (130), said motor frame (108) including an integral catch (142) engaging the locking surface (160) to at least substantially block separation of the mounting ring (22) from the motor frame (108).</p> |
