A cover 16 for a cover system, the cover system having a deployment mechanism with a horizontal arm (36, Figure 9) spanning the width of the container and movable between a stowed position in which the arm (36) is adjacent one end of the container and an extended position in which the arm (36) is adjacent an opposite end of the container. The system also having a flexible tarpaulin 16 having first and second opposite tarp ends and a length sufficient to cover the container. The first tarp end is configured to engage the horizontal arm (36) of the deployment mechanism. At least one strap 62 attached at a first end 64 to the tarpaulin 16 between the first and second tarp ends and having an opposite free second end 66. Also claimed is a cover system having a latching element having a tensioning member connected between the latching element and the tarpaulin. |
