<p>Temperature monitoring beverage containers and associated methods are provided. The containers include a temperature sensor operative to sense the temperature of a beverage stored within the container. The temperature of the beverage may be displayed on a display. The containers are also operative to provide one or more alerts to a user indicating that the beverage stored in the container may not be suitable for consumption. When used for beverages that are normally consumed when hot, the alerts may indicate to a user that the beverage is dangerously hot or undesirably cool. When used for beverages that are normally consumed when cold, the alerts may indicate to a user that the beverage is at a temperature known to cause spoilage of the beverage, thus preventing the user from consuming a potentially spoiled beverage. The alerts may be provided by way of an audible or visual indicator, such as an LED.</p> |
