The present invention relates to a composition for controlling cancer or cancer metastasis containing a Quassia undulata extract or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. Specifically, a Quassia undulata root extract obtained by extracting Quassia undulata root with water, alcohol, or a mixture thereof as a solvent, or a fraction thereof have an effect on controlling a growth of cancer cells, a movement of the cancer cells, and a vascular endothelial cell (HUVEC) tube generation which is crucial for angiogenesis, thereby able to be practically used as a cancer or cancer metastasis controlling composition and a composition for controlling angiogenesis.
