The present invention relates to a head-up display capable of: reducing the overall size; in particular, minimizing the front-rear length and the left-right length, i.e. the area, of a case; and accordingly maximizing spatial utilization of a dash board of a vehicle. The head-up display includes: a case which is buried in the upper part of a dash board of a vehicle and is open upward; a control board which is installed and fixed to the inner bottom surface of the case; an image output unit which is installed and fixed onto the inner rear side of the case, receives data related to the driving status of the vehicle from the control board, and outputs the data as an image by projecting the image upward; a black cover which is installed and fixed to the inside of the case to cover the control board and has a penetrating image movement hole for the image outputted from the image output unit to move; a plane mirror which is installed onto the upper rear side of the black cover and reflects the image passing through the image movement hole of the black cover after being projected from the image output unit to the front of the case; a concave mirror which is installed onto the inner front side of the case and reflects the image reflected by the plane mirror to the top of the case; and a window cover which includes a window for displaying the image on the frontal glass of the vehicle by allowing the image reflected by the concave mirror to penetrate and closes the top of the case. |
